Organic waste no ‘load of rubbish’

There’s a saying that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, and in Steve Rickerby’s case, this couldn’t be more true. His company, We Compost, collects organic waste from cafes and other businesses around Auckland which is then turned into compost used by local farmers and growers.

plant2 We are a New Zealand company, based in Christchurch, and established in early 2009.

We are pleased to offer a range of local and globally-sourced biodegradable and environmentally-friendly products for use in the food service industry, for food & other packaging uses, and many other business and household uses.

Initially we had one goal – to find and make available to coffee roasters and Cafés, a more environmentally-friendly takeaway coffee cup & lid. We found a takeaway eco-coffee cup and matching eco-lid …and we also discovered a whole range of other new eco-products as well.

Our hope is that our products meet your needs for a more environmentally-friendly option, particularly to replace traditional petroleum-based plastic products.
